Beijing Cultural Festival to be Held in Moscow
Beijing
will display its cultural brilliance to residents in Moscow during a cultural festival to be held next week.
A delegation of over 270 artists will fly to Moscow and treat the local people to a variety of cultural feasts including Peking opera, acrobatics, traditional dragon and lion dancing.
A photo exhibition featuring the changes that have taken place in this ancient capital and over 70 pieces of treasure from the royal palace will also be on show.
This cultural exchange activity will be the largest in scale ever organized overseas by the Beijing municipal government.
Beijing and Moscow established sister-city relationship in 1995 and a wide range of cooperation has been carried out ever since.
In 1999, a Moscow Cultural Week was successfully held in Beijing.
