Czech Folk Art Exhibition Opens in Beijing

A Czech folk art exhibition entitled "how children played" was opened in Beijing Tuesday.

The exhibition, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and dedicated to children, boasts over 500 exhibits which were all favorite toys for children in the 19th century in Czech.

These toys were made, under very primitive conditions, from natural materials such as paper, wood, plants and even dried maize leaves.

Such toys, with the development of industries, have become part of the history and can only be admired in museums.

The exhibition will last till June 19.
