China's Vice Premier Urges to Standardize Market Economy

Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing has called for more effective efforts to standardize the market economy in China.

Li, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remark during a study tour in north China's Tianjin Municipality from June 1 to 3.

He said that all localities in the country should sum up their experience from the current campaign to make more regular the market order.

Greater attention should be paid to organizing various rectifying actions and cracking down on illegal activities, Li said.

Li also studied the reform and development of elementary education and higher education in the city.
