Dalian Elects New CPC Leader

Sun Chunlan was elected secretary of the Dalian City Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at a plenary session of the municipal CPC committee which closed Sunday in Dalian, this port city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Born in 1950 in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, Sun is also the deputy secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the CPC.
