China Condemns Suicide Bombing Attack in Tel Aviv

China Sunday, June 3, condemned the June 1 suicide bombing attack in Tel Aviv, urging all parties concerned to exercise restraint and avoid the deterioration of the situation.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao said this when asked to comment the fatal attack on June 1.

Zhu stressed that the Friday deadly bombing attack in Tel Aviv caused serious loss of casualties and property, saying the Chinese government condemned the bombing attack.

China has always opposed to any form of terrorism targeted at civilians, he said, adding it has reiterated that use of force and confrontation could only serve to deepen each other's hatred.

He stressed that it is the best way for Palestine and Israel to hold talks and negotiations.

Urging all parties concerned to exercise restraint and not to deteriorate the situation, Zhu said China hoped the two sides take practical yet effective action to reopen negotiations at an early date.

The bombing attack on June 1 killed 18 people and injured over 100 others.
