The Curpu Temple also celebrates the festival to commemorate Padmasambhava, a famous Indian Buddhist who was said to have introduced Buddhism into Tibet. This Friday is April 10 in the Tibetan calendar, marking the day Padmasambhava began spreading Buddhism in Tibet, sources said. In black monster masks, a group of Lamas danced from morning till evening, giving a continuous performance of various religious dances.
