Industry Standard Expected for Web Audit Business

Glenn Hansen, President and CEO of BPA International, the leading global provider of auditing data for the marketing, media and information industries, said that he expects a worldwide industry standard to be set for web audit business.

Hansen, who just concluded a three day visit to Beijing in an effort to boost on-line auditing business, said that there still is a general lack of awareness about the audit service for websites although the industry trend is that print media and the Internet no longer operate separately.

"After the heat of the dotcom craze people have turned back to the true-business economy, and there is a need for those continuing to obtain audit services as part of their new business plan," said Hansen.

Hansen said that his company is throwing a series of events the BPA University worldwide later this year.

BPA University provides training workshops for professionals at publishing companies, advertisers, and advertising agencies.

BPA University, which will come to Hong Kong and Beijing in November, aims to attract ad agencies, print media and media buyers to their seminars on four main tracks buying, interactive, publishing and sales and to educate the industry professionals on increasing the effectiveness of advertising.

BPA International is the only company providing auditing services to a number of print media in China including Computerworld (China) and Networkworld (China).
