South Korea will host the third international anti-corruption forum in 2003, the Justice Ministry said Thursday (May 31).
The decision was made during the second anti-corruption forum now underway in the Hague, the Netherlands, the ministry said.
The global ministerial forum on anti-corruption was launched in February 1999 on the initiative of former U.S. Vice President Al Gore to regularly address the issue of corruption and ways to prevent it.
Justice Minister Choi Kyung-won, who attends the forum leading an 18-member delegation, introduced South Korea's anti-corruption policies in his address before some 1,500 representatives of governments and civilian organizations from 150 countries.
