Sino-Egyptian Jet Trainer to Conduct Trial Flight
Cooperation has been well carried out between China and Egypt in manufacturing 80 double-seat jet trainers and trial flight is to be conducted this month.
The Chinese partner on the aircraft project is Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Group, one of China's largest airplane manufacturers, known for its manufacturing technology of K-8 jet high-performance trainers, which have already been exported to many countries and regions abroad.
Hongdu Group had gone into cooperation with Egyptian counterpart last July. Under the contract, Hongdu has delivered 47 containers and 12 cars of software and hardware to Egypt. So far, the two partners have already had a K-8 production line in place and will have first jet trainer off the line to take trial flight this month.
