Australia Customs to Install Container Scanners from ChinaA contract was signed earlier by Australia Customs with Tsinghua Tongfang Nuclear Technology Co., Ltd. for buying two sets of container scanner system, THSCAN, which are developed by the latter and will be installed in two customs in Australia's Sydney and Melbourne respectively.THSCAN scanners form the first batch of like exports of China to a developed country as Australia. State Councilor Wu Yi was present at the ceremony for signing the contract, she called on Tsinghua Tongfang Nuclear Technological Co., Ltd. to do a good job of personnel training and after services in guaranteeing smooth operation of the exports in an alien land. The THSCAN scanner system, which is highly praised by David Irvine, Australia's Ambassador to China and Mr John Hawksworth, national director of the Australia Customs Service, is reported as being the first that can be dismantled and teamed in the world. It has easily won the bid of Australia Customs Service among many competitors for its convenient installing methods, low installing charge, short installing term, thoughtful after services, and low price. China owns wholly the independent intellectual property rights of the scanner system, which has been put into operation in 13 domestic customs with 28 sets installed.
