45th Anniversary of Sino-Egypt Diplomatic Relations Celebrated
Egyptian ambassador to China Mohammed Noman Galal hosted a reception on May 30 evening to celebrate the 45th anniversary of formal establishment of Sino-Egyptian diplomatic relations. Over 100 persons from various circles of foreign affairs, economy and trade, national defense, culture, and other units for foreign relations and the media attended the reception.
Ambassador Galal and Chinese Vice-Minister of Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang delivered warm and enthusiastic speeches at the reception, eulogizing the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries and wishing to strengthen the Sino-Egyptian strategy cooperation established jointly by Hosni Mubarak, the Egyptian President and the Chinese President Jiang Zeming.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher sent his congratulatory message to Tang Jiaxuan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of PRC, noting that the 45-year Sino-Egyptian relation is a model of international relations. And the common conception of value contained in the long history and rich civilizations of the two countries have made the evolution of mankind over thousands of years in the past more rich and colorful.
He also stressed that Egypt will continue to support the One-China policy and enhance cooperation with China in international affairs to defend the rights of developing countries and to establish a new international order of justice, equality and peaceful coexistence.
