CPPCC to Discuss Ways to Better Reflect Public Opinion

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's most influential advisory body, decided here Wednesday to discuss ways to better reflect the actual situations of society and public opinion during June 26 to 29.

The decision was made Wednesday at the 30th chairperson's meeting of the National Committee of the CPPCC, which was presided over by Li Ruihuan, chairman of the 9th national committee of the CPPCC.

Li is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.

The June session, to be attended by members of the CPPCC Standing Committee, is also scheduled to include deliberation over appointments and removals of some personnel.

Participants at Wednesday's meeting listened to a report by Zhen Wantong, secretary general of the CPPCC central committee on the preparation work for the June meeting and the draft agenda for the meeting.
