Leading Industrial Psychologist Celebrates 100th Birthday

China's leading industrial psychologist Chen Li embraced his 100th birthday Monday at Zhejiang University in the eastern province of Zhejiang.

Famous contemporary experts and specialists in psychology, both from home and abroad, attended the birthday anniversary ceremony for Professor Chen.

The professor received his doctorate in psychology at London University and later on did research work at Cambridge University and a university in Berlin, Germany.

He came back to China in 1935 to develop psychology in China. His books on industrial psychology are regarded as having a profound and far-reaching influence on the development of psychology in the country.

Industrial psychology is the science of probing relations between persons and between people and machines. China takes a leading position in research in the field internationally.
