Hong Kong's Go-West Delegation Ends Visit to Xinjiang

The Hong Kong go-west delegation left Urumqi for Hong Kong Tuesday after concluding its visit of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, head of the delegation, said the visit gave many Hong Kong firms a better understanding of western China. A new round of investment is to be launched in the near future.

Aabdul'ahat Abdurixit, chairman of the autonomous regional government, said the delegation's visit has improved friendship and mutual cooperation between the two sides.

During its visit in Xinjiang, the delegation visited enterprises, villages and tourist sites in Urumqi and Turpan.
