China Opens First Trading, Exhibition Center For Modern Farming
China opened its first trading and exhibition center for modern farming Monday in Tianjin.
The center, which covers 10 hectares on Zhujiang Road in the Hexi District of Tianjin, north China, was built for the transfer and exhibition of agricultural products, farming technology and machinery and equipment.
The center, known as the Green Supermarket, is sponsored by the China Agricultural University and the China Institute of Agricultural Engineering in cooperation with several other companies specializing in farming machinery.
The center is also the venue for the ongoing Second National Trade Fair for New and Hi-Tech Agricultural Achievements and Products.
