May 27 saw China's first special passenger railway: Qinhuangdao-Shenyang railway start to lay tracks.
The Qin-Shen line stretches over 404.64 km from Qinhuangdao, a coastal city in Hebei Province to Shenyang, capital of China's northeast Liaoning Province. The railway is featured in construction with new design, high quality and advanced technology and new technique in the engineering work as well.
The Shenyang-Shanhaiguan line, which lies in the gullet of passing in and out of Shanhaiguan, has for quite a long time been overburdened in its carrying capacity. The construction of the Qin-Shen railway, can not only increase railway capacity, but also ease the transport congestion of the long past.
