China's Top Legislator Returns After 3-Nation Visit
Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), returned to Beijing Sunday after an official goodwill visit to Cambodia, Brunei and the Republic of Korea (ROK).

Li began his trip on May 18 as guest of President Norodom Ranarith of the Cambodian National Assembly and Prime Minister Hun Sen of the Cambodian government, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, and Speaker Lee Man-Sup of the ROK National Assembly.

Among those who greeted Li at the Great Hall of the People were Vice-Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Tian Jiyun, State Councilor Luo Gan, Vice-Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and other senior legislators and ranking officials, as well as envoys of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.

Li's entourage included his wife Zhu Lin, Vice-Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Tomur Dawamat, Vice-Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and other senior legislators and ranking officials.
