Senior Bank Official Declared Wanted by Police

Former director of the Bank of China 's Hainan provincial branch, Wang Liming, is currently wanted by the police for alleged serious economic crimes.

Wang's wife, Wang Yulan, his brother-in-law, Wang Weidong, and two other people are also being sought by the police. The fact that they are wanted by police has been reported on by major media outlets on the tropical island in south China.

The five were accused of allegedly committing serious economic crimes between February 1996 and January 1998, but no details were given.

Their arrests have been approved by the People's Procuratorate of Haikou, capital of Hainan province.

The police are offering a reward of 20,000 yuan for clues leading to the arrest of any of the five suspects.
