Moreover £¬ its column setup will be more comprehensive£¬ rational and its service functions more salient. A powerful search engine will be added. The upgraded website will consist of the English Service and the Chinese Service £¬ each having eight channels such as the News Center £¬ about APEC£¬ Schedule and Services£¬ the Information Center £¬ and China & APEC. In all£¬ there are 84 columns and 94 sub-columns. The new website will instantly provide authoritative£¬ accurate and comprehensive official news on the APEC meetings. It will also provide information concerning the meeting and services for Chinese and foreign reporters. It will serve as a window for Internet users to gain a comprehensive understanding of APEC. The home pages of the English Service and the Chinese Service both have the¡°Latest Notice ¡± a column that will provide latest information related to the meeting and services. Via the key word or a city's name£¬ Internet users can go directly through the two¡°fast channels ¡± to relevant pages. The ¡°Special Report¡± column is designated to cover major events in connection with the meeting.
