Inner Mongolia Lures Tourists With Grassland

North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, hoping to cash in on its abundant grassland and booming animal husbandry, has worked out a series of programs to attract tourists from other parts of the country and overseas.

Travelers will enjoy various kinds of sports or entertainment programs including a desert expedition, traditional Mongolian sports, mountaineering, traditional dance, horse racing, marathon-style cross-pasture bicycling, and an inter-city motor race.

These programs will be carried out between May to September, the best season for outdoor activities for this autonomous region, according to local officials.
