Motorcycle-Based Gang Smashed

Four members of a motorcycle- based gang have been severely punished by the court of Furong District in this capital of central China's Hunan Province.

Yang Tianbao, Liu Da, Wen Jiang and Huang Zaizhong were give prison terms ranging from two and a half years to 14 and a half years and a fine ranging from 4,000 yuan to 50,000 yuan. Yang and Liu were also deprived of their political rights for four years and three years, respectively.

In less than four months, the gang used motor cycle as their criminal tools to commit 130 cases in Changshan and Zhuzhou, robbing pedestrian of their belongings.

Yang Tianbao has committed 22 robbery cases, robbing cash and goods valued at 74,990 yuan. Liu Da has committed 16 robbery cases, robbing cash and goods worth 43,078 yuan. Wen Jiang has committed seven robbery cases, robbing cash and goods valued at 33,616 yuan.
