CPPCC Vice Chairman Meets Foreign Guests

Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met here Friday with visitors from nine countries including South Africa, India, Indonesia and Mexico.

They are in Beijing attending an international symposium with the theme of new century and parties of the developing countries.

Wang, also head of United Front Work Department of Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), briefed the guests on the CPC's construction and the characteristics of China's multiple-party cooperation system led by the CPC.

The two-day symposium is sponsored by the International Department of CPC Central Committee.
