US Hacker Early Warning Site Hacked
In a cruel irony, the organization that is supposed to warn against hacker attacks has seen its Web site hacked, according to the Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center.
It was reported that the site has been under attack by hackers since Tuesday 11:30 a.m.
The site is a cooperative effort of law enforcement and high tech companies, and is supposed to act as an early warning system for computer hacker attacks.
According to the organization, they are experiencing a denial-of-service assault, in which a hacker overloads a site's computers with thousands of simultaneous requests for data.
