Chinese, Papua New Guinean Diplomats Hold Consultation in BeijingOfficials from the foreign ministries of China and Papua New Guinea held their eighth consultation Wednesday and Thursday.The two sides exchanged views on furthering bilateral relations and other international and regional issues of common concern, and reached wide-ranging consensus. Maimu Raka-nou, deputy secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Papua New Guinea, reiterated that the Papua New Guinean government will stick to the "one-China" policy and will not engage in any official contacts with Taiwan, which was appreciated by the Chinese side. The consultation was co-chaired by Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhou Wenzhong and Raka-nou. Vice-Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with Raka-nou here during the consultation.
