Suicidal Attempt of A Taiwan Tourist Checked in Emei Mountain

Hua Shipei, a tourist from Taiwan (male, 33, Taipei people), lately went to Emei Mountain for a tour and stayed in Golden Summit Hotel. One night, he went to the hotel's recreation hall for singing. When he had a talk with a waiter in the hotel it was sensed that there was a questionable note in it, an intention to commit suicide. When he finished singing, he said he wanted to go to the Golden Summit, a tourist spot nearby the hotel, for enjoying snow. The waiter now had a stronger sense and reported this to the hotel security. On hearing it the manager of the hotel security department immediately sent safeguards to the Golden Summit and persuaded him to return to his room.

When the news was released, offices for Taiwan affairs in Emei and Leshan cities attached great importance to the matter. They sent personnel to persuade him to correctly deal with his severe losses in stock speculation and advise him to giving up the idea of making light of his life. In the meanwhile the related department has notified his father and sister to bring Hua back to Taiwan.

With the great efforts made, Hua Shipei changed his mind of resorting to suicide. Now he has returned to Taiwan safe and sound.
