Chinese, S.Korean Top Legislators MeetChinese and South Korean top legislators discussed Thursday ways to further cooperation and increase exchanges between the two countries, and regional and world issues.During their meeting, Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC) and South Korean National Assembly (parliament) Speaker Lee Man-sup, discussed cooperation between the NPC and the South Korean parliament, expansion of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and other issues of common concern, including the Korean Peninsula issue. Li and his delegation arrived here Wednesday for a five-day official goodwill visit at the invitation of Lee. During his visit, Li is also scheduled to meet South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, Prime Minister Lee Han-dong and other political and business leaders. South Korea is the last leg of the NPC chairman's three-nation Asian trip, which has already taken him to Cambodia and Brunei.
