China's Entry to WTO Likely to Put off Till Year End

"China will be unlikely to make its entry to the WTO until the end of the year," said an American official unwilling to reveal his name.

According to him, China has a lot to do to be prepared for the entry, even if it has made any breakthrough in the troublesome issues on agriculture. At the same time, China has to make some compromises in insurance, trade rights, distribution and so on.
