People's Daily Online Launched Website on Peaceful Liberation of Tibet

May 23 saw the 50th anniversary of Peaceful Liberation of Tibet. People's Daily Online along with Tibet Daily has presented a website to focus on the report of this grand occasion: http://www.peopledaily.com.cn/xz50/.

Our resident and local correspondents in Tibet will give live and overall reports on the achievements on the Roof of the World, picturesque landscape of snowcapped land and the folk customs of the ethnic Tibetan people. In addition, the site has also collected some valuable historic data regarding the peace talks on the liberation of Tibet and other documents.
