China's Top Legislator Starts S.Korea Trip
Li Peng, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, arrived in Seoul Wednesday afternoon for a five-day official goodwill visit, at the invitation of South Korean National Assembly (parliament) Speaker Lee Man-sup.

During his visit, Li is scheduled to meet with South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, Prime Minister Lee Han-dong and other political and business leaders. Li visited South Korea in June 1994 when he was premier of China.

South Korea is the last leg of Li's three-nation Asian trip, which has already taken him to Cambodia and Brunei.
