Beijing Taxies to Adopt GPS

Within two or three years, the technology of global positioning system (GPS) is to be adopted by quite a few of taxies of Beijing to facilitate the management of taxies in this capital city.

GPS technology, widely applied in advanced countries already, can work actively to protect the running motor vehicles and to prevent them from being lost. By adopting GPS technology, the companies of taxies can largely reduce the vacancy of taxies and traffic jam as well. It¡¯s reported that a management network covering 5,000 taxies with GPS technology is to be established this year.
