Jiang on Cross-Straits Co-hosting 2008 Olympics

Jiang Xiaoyu, vice chairman of BOBICO lately told of three conditions on Beijing co-hosting 2008 Olympic Games with Taiwan Province at a press conference held in Hong Kong.

Jiang was seen at a splendid cocktail party in support of Beijing's Olympics bid in Hong Kong on May 21. He said that Beijing would like to co-host the Games with Taiwan when should the IOC make Beijing hosting city of the Olympic Games and on account of IOC Charter IOC's approval is indispensable. Above all, both sides should act on the "One-China" principle,

Though it is a bit early to talk about cross-Straits cooperation on the Olympic Games, a series of activities have been co-organized as the long distance running that has attracted participants from both sides.
