China, Denmark to Enhance Ties

China is willing to make joint efforts with Denmark to enhance ties between the two countries and their ruling parties, said He Luli, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), Wednesday.

In a meeting with Lene Jensen, vice-chairwoman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Denmark, He Luli expressed appreciation for the SDP's adherence to the "one China" principle.

"Bilateral relations between China and Denmark as well as our ruling parties have experienced significant development in recent years, and extensive cooperation has been carried out in diverse sectors including politics, trade, science, technology and cultural exchanges," she said.

She also briefed the guests on China's NPC system and the work of the NPC Standing Committee.

Jensen and her delegation are here as guests of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.
