Anti-Corruption Websites Opened in Beijing

The Municipal People's Procuratorate of Beijing recently opened two websites for information against corrupt officials.

The websites, "www.bjyfy.gov.cn" and "www.bjjc2.jcy.gov.cn" are operated by the first and second branches of the city's procuratorate.

The opening of the websites is aimed at improving the work of public procurators and help them find a better link with ordinary people, in order to combat corruption, according to an official from the municipal procuratorate.

The first case dealt on the websites involved a general manager of a local company, whose surname is Xiao. On-line tips helped procurators find out the suspect who has gone into hiding after being implicated in a major financial crime.
