Shanghai to Build Modern Clinical Centers

Shanghai Municipality, east China, announced Tuesday it plans to build up between 15-20 advanced clinical centers with an investment of 1 billion yuan in four to five years.

Half of the investment, or 500 million yuan, will be allocated by the city government, while the other half will be invested by the hospitals.

The clinical centers, to be located in the city's major hospitals, will adopt modern management, provide first-class services, introduce advanced technology, and employ talented personnel.

Meanwhile, these centers will also be developed into training grounds for high-level domestic and overseas professionals and become research centers for local and foreign experts to undertake academic exchanges.
