Chinese Gymnasts Take Men's and Women's All-around Titles

The Chinese gymnasts on Tuesday proved their superiority by taking both men's and women's all-around individual titles at the ongoing Osaka East Asian Game.

Olympic champion Yang Wei collected a total 56.925 points in six apparatus to win men's all-around title, followed by his teammate Li Dezhi with 55.85 points. Japanese Tomita Hiroyuki took the bronze with 55.35.

In the following women's all-around individual final, China's advantage was even more greater as their gymnasts snatched the top three by a large margin.

Dong Fangxiao won the gold medal with 37.15 points, followed by Qi Linzi, 37.075 points, and Bai Chunyue, who recorded 36.937 points to win the bronze medal.
