Chinese Athelete Snatches Another Gold Medal in Gys Competition

China clean swept the top three places of the women's gymnastics all-around event at the East Asian Games Tuesday.

Dong Fangxiao overtook teammates Bai Chunyue and Qi Linzi in the last rotation to take the gold with a total of 37.150 points. Qi Linzi finished second at 27.075 while Bai Chunyue faded to third at 36.937.

Bai Chunyue led the field into the fourth and last rotation. But she was awarded a low 8.762 points in the vault. Dong Fangxiao, to the contrary, vaulted to a high 9.675 points to top the rankings.
