Li Na Scores Easiest Victory in EAG Diving

Li Na of China scored perhaps the easiest victory in her diving career, winning the women's platform title with a total of 587.61 points.

Li Na outpointed third-place finisher Takiri Miyazaki of Japan by more than 100 points. The silver medal was also taken by China through Cai Yuyan which garnered a total of 542.16 points.

There were no preliminaries and semifinals as required by the FINA rules and the competitions went directly into the final as only 8 divers were in action.

Li Na led all the way in the contest and was never threatened by the other divers including Cai Yuyan, who is a member of the Chinese team which won the World Cup team title.

Earlier in the men's 1-meter springboard final, world champion and Olympic silver medallist Yu Zhuocheng beat teammate Liu Ben for the title.
