Chinese Yang Yanli Wins Women's 68kg Wrestling Gold
Chinese Yang Yanli broke the domination of
Japan
and South Korea in the women's wrestling at the East Asian Games by winning the 68kg class on Tuesday.
Yang Yanli defeated Tomoe Miyamoto of Japna in the final, bringing China the first gold in the sport which features fierce body contact.
In the taekwondo competitions which concluded on Tuesday, China was empty-handed while South Korea took four gold medals and Chinese Taipei split the other four titles with the hosts Japan.
