Tech-pioneer in Additive Industry Emerges in Shenzhen

Jimmy Technology (Shenzhen) Company, which is a pioneer in the field of technical innovation in China's additive industry, has recently announced that its second-phase additive project in Shenzhen will go into formal operation at the end of June.

The project has an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons. By that time, the company's total capacity will reach 7,000 tons per annum.

Now the company produces three series of energy saving and environmentally friendly products, additives for gasoline and diesel fuel, lubricating grease and package additives for lubricants, according to Jimmy Tan, chairman of the company.

Tan, an overseas Chinese from Canada, is the sole founder of the "Wear Particle Modification Theory" and "Organo-Metal Rolling Crystal Mechanism." The company is operating under the two theories.

The former theory is based on the utilization of ultrasonic energy, which is created whenever there is friction and the latter is to transfer sliding friction to rolling friction, according to Tan.

He said that fuels and lubricants with a content of 3 to 5 percent organo-metal rolling crystal additives could help trim the coefficient of friction by as much as 80 per cent, as well as reduce tailpipe gas emissions by over 42 per cent.

His products have been used in the transportation industry, nuclear power stations, machinery processing and lube blenders, Chen Kunhai, general manager of the company.

Jimmy Technology, established in October 1999, operates an advanced scientific research center in Shenzhen, which has technical cooperation with PLA Logistics Engineering College, China Environmental Science Research Institute and Shanghai Internal Engine Institute.
