Asia-Pacific IT Training Course Opens in Shanghai

An Asia-Pacific training course on information technology started Monday in this metropolis in east China, attracting some 21 participants from Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and other countries and regions.

It is the first time that Shanghai hosted a training course for the elite IT managers and technical personnel in the Asia-Pacific region.

Apart from learning the latest information and skills involving the most cutting-edge technologies of website development, trainees will also have a chance to visit some local units that have made outstanding accomplishments in IT construction.

The training course is expected to become a good beginning for the work of eliminating the "digital wide gap" between developing countries and developed ones, according to an official in charge of urban IT affairs in the Asia-Pacific region.
