Auto-makers Vow to Contribute to Environment

More and more auto manufacturers are turning out environment-friendly vehicles as Chinese people pay closer attention to the environment and their health.

The Volvo Automobile Corporation recently introduced a new type of car to China, which uses filter equipment inside the car to improve the air condition and improve the driver's comfort.

As the world's first car manufacturer to provide an ozone-elimination system, Volvo is capable of turning 75 percent of ozone into oxygen.

Many other producers offer new types of cars which are friendly to the environment. "All the textile materials in this car are in accordance with ecological standards, exempt from allergic materials to the skin," said a representative of the Citron Company.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen vows to reduce car emissions and fuel consumption, aiming to contribute to a clean environment.

Experts point out that as more manufacturers attach importance to the environment, the concept of "clean driving" will gain popularity.
