China Achieves Remarkable Success in Cracking Down on Fake Commodities

In the first quarter of 2001, China has uncovered 15,895 cases of fake commodities, up 64.7 percent compared with the same period of last year.

According to the latest statistics from the State General Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC), there have been more and more complaints about Internet commerce.

As shopping has become more convenient via the Internet, some problems have emerged such as no after-sale services being provided and goods not being provided after consumers have paid.

During the first three months of the year, more complaints were received about telecom products and housing.
