S.Korea Changes Justice Minister, Prosecutor General

South Korean President Kim Dae-jung Monday morning appointed Ahn Dong-soo as justice minister, replacing Kim Jung-kil.

Meanwhile, Kim named Shin Seung-nam, current vice prosecutor general to replace Prosecutor General Park Soon-yong, who is to complete his term of office Friday, South Korean presidential spokesman Park Joon-young said Monday.

Ahn, 60, became a prosecutor in 1965 and opened a law firm in 1975.

Shin, 57, graduated from Seoul National University and served in various prosecutor's offices and the Justice Ministry.
