China Opens First Anti-Corruption TV Channel

The Educational TV Station of Central China's Hunan Province has opened China's first anti- corruption channel, which provides a new area for the country's anti-corruption drive.

The channel, which opened on May 8 has set the tone for political comments, which are implemented by the Discipline Inspection Commission of Hunan.

Senior executives with the channel said the television programs will provide in-depth coverage on their work against corrupt officials, and help smooth communications between government officials and Hunan residents.

Discipline inspection officials said the channel will reinforce the public consensus to help push forward the anti-corruption drive.
