Baby Roller-skaters Back Beijing's Olympics BidForty one-year-old babies will give roller-skating performances in Tianjin and Beijing to express their support to Beijing's bid for the 2008 Olympics, activity organizers said in Tianjin on Sunday."It's not our purpose to train these babies to become professional roller-skaters," said organizer Guo Jianguo. "We just want to develop the functions of their bodies and brains, and foster the team spirit among them." The babies, ranging from eight-month to 15-month old, were selected from more than 200 applicants. Though unable to walk steadily, most of these babies have already grasped basic roller-skating skills. "We also hope that the roller-skating performances will convey the healthy image of Chinese babies to the whole world." added Guo.
