Mayors' Forum Discusses Economic Development

Mayors from 40 cities across China gathered Friday in this capital of east China's Fujian Province to discuss the capital market and e-commerce and banking as the country enters the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The two-day forum also attracted some 300 domestic and overseas business people and diplomats.

A series of seminars on e-commerce, the banking system, the post-WTO market in China and the country's economic development in the new century will be held, along with some cultural exchange activities such as painting exhibitions.
