The foreign trade volume of Chongqing, the largest metropolis in western China, maintained a rising momentum in April.
The city's export totaled 96.67 million US dollars in April, up by 28 percent over the same period last year. Its' imports came to 88.18 million US dollars, up by 32 percent.
The aggregated foreign trade volume in the first four months was 650 million US dollars. Machinery and electronic products constitute 58 percent of total exports. The export of motorcycles, the largest export item, increased by 3.6 times at 450,000.
