MII Encourages Enterprises to Engage in IT Field

May 17 marked the World Telecom Day, Zhang Chunjiang, vice-minister of Ministry of Information Industry (MII), China's leading telecom administration, called for telecom companies to further lower threshold for China's small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the Telecom market.

Zhang said that to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to enter telecom market and compete with large telecom operators will be conducive to the setting-up of an efficient market competition order in China, which can not only improve telecom service, but also simplify the administration in government offices.

The theme of this year's World Telecom Day is "Internet-Challenge, Opportunity and Prospect". To memorize the day, People's Posts & Telecommunications Publishing House published on May 17 the Chinese version of Competition in Telecom Industry, which is the first theoretic works of suchlike in China.
