Taiwan Ethnic Art Group Sing for Beijing's Olympic BidLin Qiumei, who was leading the delegation explained that is a tradition of the Amei hunters to tell their family about their hunting harvest through song. Then the 24 artists performed two folksongs at the lobby of the BOBICO office. One celebrated the success of the hunt and the other was a traditional song sang by the womenfolk to welcome the hunters back home. Lin told BOBICO officials that the delegation members come from seven ethnic groups in Taiwan. They came to Beijing to take part in the launch and opening ceremony of a Taiwanese website. She said Beijing's bid is a big event for the whole nation. The artists were happy to do their part in the bid process and they hope the statue will bring luck to Beijing.
