People's Daily Appointed Resident Correspondents to Taiwan Province
The first two resident correspondents to Taiwan, sent by the People's Daily, have arrived in this Chinese island province on May 17, and they were accorded a warm welcome by Taiwan's press circles.

This is the first batch of resident reporters of newspapers sent from China's motherland to the island province of Taiwan.

The two correspondents, Zheng Gugu and Wu Yaming, will make in-depth news report on Taiwan's politics, economy, culture, society, and local customs and practices.

Bai Keming, president and Xu Zhongtian, editor- in- chief of the People's Daily, and another from the People's Daily Oversea Edition saw the two correspondents off.
